We take a scan of your teeth and have a pair of thin trays made for you. At the second appointment we fit them, give you the gel, and show you how much to use, which is much less than people expect.
You wear them at home, usually overnight, for about two weeks.
This is bleaching, and it is regulated. It is carried out under a dentist’s supervision, which is why the first appointment is an examination rather than a sale: teeth with active decay or gum disease are treated first.
We cannot tell you that in advance and nobody honestly can. It depends on what is staining them and how your enamel responds. We record the shade before you start so you can see the difference at the end.
They stay the color they are. If you have a white filling on a front tooth it may need replacing afterward to match, and we point that out before you decide.
